East-Asian Network Initiative for Gravity Measurement Alliance
East-Asian countries have individual researchers who have installed and are operating superconducting gravimeters for their unique purposes. The ENIGMA collaboration aims to consolidate and manage this data centrally and seek the potential to contribute to global issues through integrated analysis and their individual purposes. One of these issues is utilizing and researching gravity-based earthquake detection for seismic events occurring in the Ryukyu Trench, Nankai Trough, and Japan Trench. This network, positioned parallel to these trenches, spans distances of 500-1500km, allowing the collection of gravitational network information from various seismic sources. Approximately ten network systems are currently established, with plans for future expansion. Another scientific goal is to investigate the potential existence of compact dark objects (CDOs), which may be a source of subtle gravitational variations within the Earth. The network seeks to explore the existence of these CDOs through improved sensitivity.
